Some cats meow when they’re hungry. Some want attention. Some are warning you that something isn’t right. And some simply have opinions that MUST be heard!

In my latest Adventures in Animal Communication, I’m sharing some of the many reasons our cats meow, yowl and chatter — and why sometimes the only way to…

I hadn’t even heard of aerial yoga until a few months ago. I only know about it because my down-the-street neighbor’s daughter co-owns a studio in Hilo (about a half-hour drive from our house). The place is called The Airhouse. They also teach circus arts (think Cirque de Soliel) but that’s way above my ability level. (Maybe by next year….?)…

Due to the huge stray dog population in the area and several truly unfortunate and sad events caused by the strays I’d picked up off the roadside and brought home at great trouble (and often even greater expense), I told God that I couldn’t keep rescuing random dogs who…

It’s been a doggy sort of day!

The doggy part started when I was driving into town to go to the post office. I had only gone a few blocks when I encountered a young dog trotting down the road, intent on getting into mischief. He was well-fed, clearly someone’s good(ish) dog who unfortunately still had his testicles, so he had absconded in…
